One of her last films, and from a long list of beloved classics that made her such a glowing icon of Hong Kong cinema in the 80s and 90s. (Does ‘icon’ even do her justice, it feels overused.) Brigitte Lin Ching-hsia has just finished a morning talk as part of the 20th Udine Far East Film Festival, with her long-time friend (and, technically I guess, occasionally boss) film producer Nansun Shi alongside her.
She was there to help award Lin the festival’s Golden Mulberry Award for Lifetime Achievement the previous evening. (She received her own three years before.)
