Sheikh Salah Al Hashem is a Kuwaiti reader and chanter, and is one of the “Imams” in the Grand Mosque in Kuwait.

He was born in 1980, and he memorized the whole Quran at the age of 12 years old only.

He is also the creator of the “Calendar of Hashem” application, which is used in mobile phones.

Sheikh Salah Al Hashem began memorizing the Quran from an early age. His mentors and teachers were Sheikh Nasser Al-Othman and Sheikh Adnan Abdul Qadir.

Also; the first Surah he learned was Surat “Maryam”; he later on completed the memorization of the Holy Quran and obtained his license from Sheikh Khamis bin Abdel Azim. He read the Koran with several methods and he obtained an assignment connected to the prophet (peace and prayer be upon him).

Sheikh Salah Al Hashem used to listen to senior Egyptian sheikhs of “Tajweed” such as Mahmoud Khalil Al Husary and Mahmud Ali
